What driver version? Why no SP1?

READ >

  • When installing the AMD Catalyst driver for Windows operating system, the user must be logged on as Administrator or have Administrator rights to complete the installation of the AMD Catalyst driver.
  • The AMD Catalyst driver requires Windows 7 Service Pack 1 to be installed.

Then I would install SP1.....AMD clearly states SP1 must be installed for the graphics driver to work. And no need for double posting.

ok,tomorrow i will try some fix from notebookreview.com forum:

"""""If you've got a HDMI stick (I can understand that you have not) then you should be able to fix the problem (I think..).

I'm not sure if the problem is going to be fixed with a new W7 installation.

When starting up the computer in Safe Mode make sure you select the Safe Mode with Networking, after that go on the internet, download the newest version of AMD driver for you 6970M and install it.

It's the 6970M that is playing with you :/ What you can do is. Try clicking F8 (as normally you go into Safe Mode) and instead of picking Safe Mode, pick the normal Low Resolution boot, if it works, then uninstall your current AMD driver.

The way to uninstall your current AMD driver is by downloading the newest AMD driver, then starting the installation up and pick "UNINSTALL" instead of "INSTALL/UPDATE" it will remove your AMD drivers. Afterwards try downloading Guru3D - Driver Sweeper and so you've got it ready. When the UNINSTALL of the AMD driver is finished, restart the computer, go into Safe Mode and open the Drive Sweeper program. Pick the AMD drivers and remove them from the machine. Now you should be able to boot into Windows normally.

If you cannot, then try the Low Resolution boot again and install the newest driver from there and restart. If it works, then congratulations. If not then do try to get a HDMI stick, and use that HDMI stick to put into the HDMI input on your computer, and put the other end of the HDMI stick into another screen or TV or something that can show your PC screen. Then use WINDOWS KEY + P to enter the specialized settings so you can enter the PROJECTER options.

Good luck -also sorry for the wall of text, I'm insanely tired, and I know that I repeated myself 900 times, but I hope it'll work out for you """"""

BUT, i have a queschion-how long a AMD warranty for HD6970M MXM as a part???

I didn't say a new install of Win 7...I said you need to install Windows 7 SP1. You can get that from Windows update.

15 minutes later:NOT,it's dont work for me.... now i am from safe mode..after install Catalist 12-10_mobility_vista_win7_win8_64_dd_ccc_whql_net4 from AMD site have black screean and i leave for 5 minut-cooler start REALY hevy job...

and 10 more minyt later:i was disable a CatalistCCC and AMD External Bla-Bla-Bla(AMD External Events Utility)..and windows start in full resolytion... BUT in 2 minits starts artefacts-look here: https://picasaweb.google.com/116822894645076601694/31October2012
