Have the following:
Lenovo IdeaPad Z575 (APU AMD 3400m with HD 6520g + HD 6650m inside); Windows 7 x64 Ultimate (from fteshly installed to SP1).

Problem 1:
When I install graphic drivers (from AMD-Support, each 12.x) it doesn't work  "Configure Switchable Graphics" tab: when i click it CCC closed. With standart drivers it's work normally.
In my honest opinion, that can correlating with existence of some package file somewhere near the driver ('Microsoft.VC80.ATL.manifest', 'Setup.exe.manifest', etc).

 Problem 2:
Above mentioned some package file exist in AMD Mobility Radeon™ Driver Verification Tool, but Install driver with that package possibly only when active "Install" button in this program (that is after downloading driver file with this program). But when I click "Start download" and place it in folder, program exits with Win7 error message.

Short:

  Problem name: BEX64

  Application name: CatalystMobility.exe

  Application version: 1.0.0.1

  Fault Module Name: MSVCR80.dll

Version of the module with the error: 8.0.50727.4940

?an anyone help with at least one of these problems?

If u mean http://forums.amd.com/game/messageview.cfm?catid=448&threadid=161340&enterthread=y
In the early summer of 2012 I had no problems installing the driver with 64 Bit Util. Now I get an error that, in my opinion, is not related to the incompatibility drivers with the existing hardware. I also can not blame the windows, so I tried several assemblies.
To some extent, this also applies to the graphics switching.

I can exist with standart drivers, but with new drivers in normally working i get 25%+ more performance.

OP, did you try going to your laptop manufacturer's download site and downloading the drivers that they provide for your specific model laptop yet?  That would be the way to go IMO.

Cheers!
