Hi I have a computer with switchable graphics.

Both are AMD, Mobility Radeon HD 5470 and Mobility Radeon HD 4000 series.

If I install the linux legacy drivers, the computer doesn't boot at all, not detecting the Radeon HD 5470 and if I install the normal drivers, it crashes, not detecting the Radeon HD 4000 series.

I read the post about checking with the PC manufacturer, but I already checked with my Acer and they don't offer me any solution as both cards are AMD.

What can I do to be able to run my PC and switch between cards?

The AMD Mobility Radeon™ graphics driver supplied by the notebook manufacturer is customized for the built-in display and the features and functions specific to the notebook. It is recommended to use the drivers provided by the notebook manufacturer.

Yes I read that already.

The thing is that it was working perfectly with the normal drivers until AMD decided to create the "legacy" branch of drivers for Radeon HD 4000.

Now, as one of the cards is legacy and the other uses normal drivers, it doesn't work anymore.

My laptop brand is not offering me support as it is a problem only about AMD Drivers with AMD graphic cards.
