Hi, was hoping I could get some help for my frustrating problem.

I just bought a new Windows 8 Laptop with the AMD Radeon HD 7670M card and the Catalyst Control Centre does not list all of the available options (only performance and power options show) that it did on my previous Windows 7 machine. There are no display or resoltion options.

Additionally, it doesn't appear that the computer recoginises the card - when I run dxdiag it only shows the other graphics card (Intel Graphics 4000) as being present.

I also attempted to update the driver in the device manager, and when choosing the 7670M card (rather than the 7600 series that was installed), I got a message saying ' The driver selected for this device does not support this version of Windows '.

As a result, I am left using the integrated card. Are there any solutions to this?

You cannot update your drivers with 'generic' drivers...which is all AMD offers. You must get your drivers from the laptop manufacturer. Read the sticky 'how to update mobility drivers'.

I did not mention that I bought a Sony VAIO laptop.

When I read the stick you mentionned, I saw this:

' The following notebooks are not compatible:

 Toshiba® notebooks
 Sony® VAIO® notebooks
 Panasonic® notebooks '

What does this mean? What should I do?
