Graphics Card
HD 7970M 2GB GDDR5 No overclocking

AMD Catalyst Driver Version, and Driver History
Current attempting 13.1, have installed 12.7 and 12.11 betas successfully.

Operating System
Windows 7 Home Premium(pre 13.1) & Professional(pre 13.1 & 13.1) both 64bit.

Issue Details

Today I installed Windows 7 Pro 64bit (previously used home premium 64), I installed all requiured drivers for my system except AMD. I am trying to install version 13.1; however when the CIM software detects my system it only lists the CIM itself and APP SDK Runtime. No drivers, no drag and drop transcode, no media foundation or CCC. Previous driver versions did not have this issue.

I did try to install older versions to my new win 7 pro install, and they still work.

I want you to know (important): I have already contacted Malibal (laptop company) about the autodetect not working, and saying my hardware not supported. However; They told me that I am suppose to use the AMD drivers. They do not supply drivers for the card themselves. The card itself is suppose to be supported by your driver builds.

On one last note, the main reason for switching from older driver builds(the beta's) is because I have been experiencing alot of BSOD's when running the others. As well as very poor performance in games I have tried(dragonage 2, call of duty MW 2-3 and black-ops).

Neither of those worked, I had already tried/done them.

I did however find a solution. Quickly browsing your forum I found this link:

http://benchmark3d.com/amd-catalyst-13-1-whql

That allowed me to download the actual mobility version, and that fixed the problem. I have been trying to figure out how to manualy download the mobility drivers since I got this laptop..

The only problem it did not fix is the fact your autodetect program still does not find my card. So I am unable to get the proper drivers. But, the benchmark3d site seems to be a solution to that for now.
