My laptop has this momentary lags whenever I play AC3 or NBA 2k13. I know my lappy can handle these games because it can render 23-30 fps (on AC3) and 40-55 fps (in NBA) in normal settings. And when you're in the midst of enjoying these games the fps rate drops down to 8 and 17 in AC3 and NBA respectively... for 10-20 seconds then returns to the normal framerate.

Curious, I've managed to do some observations on this event. On task manager, i've noticed that whenever the game lags, the Processor Utilization % drops down from 70% to more or less 25% every time.

Is the processor responsible for the lag?

Who knows how to fix this? I've tried many tweaks on both Intel and AMD settings already. Lowering the resolution in games won't change the situation too. The laggy experience spoils my enjoyment in these games.
Thank you in advance!

Sounds like it is possibly overheating and downclocking. Use GPU-z to monitor the clocks and temps.
