My laptop (HP) has an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600 video Card which is a 1080P capable card. But my laptop maximum resolution is 1680 X 1050.

I'd like to be able to send 1080P resolution to my TV via HDMI (TV is 1080P).

Since my laptop display resolution is not 1080P, Is it possible to send 1080P? If yes, how?

OS = Windows Vista (32 bit), Catalyst Version = 13.1

What is the laptop?  Does the laptop give you an HDMI output anywhere? Hopefully it does.  If so, connect an HDMI cable from that output port to the HDMI input on your TV.

You can then use either VISTA's Display Properties, or the Catalyst Control Center to setup the HDTV as an extended display with a resolution of 1920x1080 @60hz.
