1. Disconnect from the internet.
2. Uninstall both the display driver and CCC.
3. Reboot.
4. If Windows detects and installs your GPU, open Device Manager and uninstall it, tick the delete files checkbox as well.
5. Repeat #3-#4 until you have only standard VGA adapter in the device manager.
6. Connect to the internet.
7. Start menu -> Windows Update -> Check for updates
8. In the optional section locate the drivers intended for your GPU, right click on the entry and select hide.
9. Close Windows Update and open your browser.
10. Download and install the display drivers from the website of the manufacturer or your laptop.
11. Reboot.
12. Done.
