It depends on your laptop cooling solution...I have seen from 85C to 100C. Ask your laptop manufacturer...or ask in their forums.

-------------------------

Intel I7 960 @ 3.87ghz *Intel DX58SO *HIS HD6970 2gb *Corsair TX650M *2x4gb Corsair XMS3 *WD Black 1TB *Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit ***Asus N71Jq laptop *Intel I7 720QM Processor *Mobility Radeon HD5730 1gb *8gb Ram *Windows 7 64bit ** Toshiba P75-A7200 * Intel I7-4700MQ * Windows 8.1 64bit

LOL it seems with laptops it's a regular game of pass the buck, they told me to ask here.

My Acer with Intel HD3000 is 85c..my Asus with AMD Hd5730 is 90c...so, why are you asking? What temperature is it running? (Buck passed back to you)

The GPU seems to run at 62 to 65 degrees Celsius while in games, I like to have a reference number so I know if it's time to take a break from that game to stay safe. I say it "seems" to but that is through MSI afterburner, do you know of a good program to show my temps on the gpu's as well as cpu? as I'm not entirely convinced that I'm actually using the 7730 in some games instead of the intel HD4000.

For GPU temp use GPU-Z http://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/  for CPU temp use Real Temp http://www.techpowerup.com/realtemp/

OK thanks, now I know where I am temps wise, just wish I knew the actual safe high temp for the GPU so I would know how close I am to it.

It will throttle down when you get close to the max temp.
