Hello I have HP laptop with AMD HD 6370M graphics, I am using windows 8 pro x64, CPU is core i3 380M and 4 GB DDR3 RAM. I am expiriencing framerate drop in game Arctic Combat. When I first installed the game it worked perfectly but it was on windows 7 , then I installed windows 8 and it worked first week but then it started to drop. I can run this game my specs are more than enough I run it at 82 FPS but now it drops from 82 to 29 and lower.It drops especialy when there are more objects like more players on same spot. I checked CPU and GPU usage as the temperatures and everything is ok. I updated to the catalyst 13.1 drivers but the problem still persists. Any help ?

Windows 8 is a bad choice for gaming.. Make sure you get gpu drivers from HP website and if they don't have windows 8 ones, then.. why did you even put on windows 8? newer isn't always the best, some would argue with me here for sure, but I find windows 7 to be superior in every way, from performance to comfortability.

well I agree that the newest isn't the best . I don't know I installed it to see what it is like but I'll go back to win7 and I'll report if there's FPS drop

Windows 8 isn't a bad choice for gaming necessarily as it is just Windows Vista Revision 2, but it is a bad choice to put an OS on a laptop that it didn't come with.

Well win 8 worked fine in all aspects but now I have reverted to win 7 and it still drops and lags now framerate drops from 90-20. Any ideas?
