Graphics Card
ATI Radeon HD 8750m
AMD Catalyst Driver Version, and Driver History

Operating System
Win8 64 bit

Issue Details

I have a Samsung Notebook with a i5-3210M processor, 8 Gb RAM and ATI Radeon HD 8750M, 1Gb graphic card.

The problem is that there are integrated graphics (Intel HD4000) on the computer. I noticed that everytime I was changing some display settings, the computer was using the HD 4000... I wanted to use the 8750M instead so I disabled the HD4000. Problem is, it looks like the 8750M was not installed properly (even though it was showing in the device manager). After disabling the HD 4000, the Catalyst center stopped working. I uninstalled it and re-installed it. Now the computer won't recognized the 8750M in the device manager (it is now under unknown devices).

The detection tool from the website doesn't recognize the card either.

What can I do?

1st: If you read the release notes of 13.1, it never mentiones support for 8000 series cards.

2nd: Generic drivers for desktop cards don't work with laptops, especially with ones using switchable graphics.

You're supposed to use the drivers prvided by the laptop manufacturer. Go to their website and download what they have there.
