hi there,

my name is Gabrio and i have been having some strange things going on with the latest Cataylst drivers on my system, in particular, i get a black frame when opening IE9 or in FF21 i get all black menus when hovering on the menus. This happens only IF hardware acceleration is enabled and when i have the computer on dynamic setting from the bios.

Now, together with this, i also get a strange green frame when opening a .mkv video with the Kazaa lite codec pack, i will try to be as detailed as possible, please see below.

My System:

1. Intel Core i5 (2nd Gen) 2430M / 2.4 GHz / 3 MB Cache
2. AMD Radeon HD 6490M, 1 GB Ram + Intel HD 3000
3. Win 7 64x Ultimate
4. Now, working driver is Catalyst_13.1_WHQL + 9.17.10.2932 for the Intel HD3000
5. HP, 90W
6. 6 GB DDR3
7. 1366 x 768

Catalyst_13.1_WHQL - all good, no strange black frames in IE9 or FF21 BUT with latest kazaa codeck pack (K-Lite_Codec_Pack_995_Standard) i get the strange green frame, with K-Lite Codec Pack Update 9.8.4 works perfect.

Catalyst_13.4_WHQL + 9.17.10.3062 for the Intel HD - black frame problem on both IE9 or FF21, green frame issue as well, K-Lite Codec Pack Update 9.8.4 works OK

Catalyst_13.6_WHQL +  9.17.10.2932 for the Intel HD - same thing, black frame problem on both IE9 and FF21, green frame issue as well, K-Lite Codec Pack Update 9.8.4 works OK

So the bottom line is that ever since the most recent Catalyst drivers, i started experiencing issues with IE9 and FF21 when they have hardware acceleration enabled and as well as this, with the most recent Kazaa Lite Codec pack when playing either .mkvs or .avis. Other 2 users i know confirmed the same issue.

On a side note, if i set "FIXED" from the BIOS, then the black frame issue is not present! But i want to use the dynamic as it preserves the battery better.

I hope you guys can change this so the issue gets resolved.

Kind Regards,
Gabrio
