Hello people far smarter than I,

I recently updated my grahpic driver at the request of 'Bioshock Infinite', prior to installing the updated version i could play the game and every 5 minutes or so the video streaming for the game would get really slow and the sound would get warped and after 30 seconds of that it would run fine.  Figuring that i could do away with this problem i went to the AMD website and downloaded and installed 'AMD catalyst 13.6 beta'.  However now Bioshock Infinite and many other games cause my computer to freeze.  Additionally when i play videos the computer will also freeze.  HELP???

I have an Alienware m17x

Intel Core i7 1.73Ghz processor

Windows 7 64bit
