Hello to anyone that can help!
I have recently installed Windows 8 Pro (64bit) on my Toshiba Satellite L650D (formally had Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit installed).
- 1.60GHz AMD Phenom II P920 Quad Core
- 4GB RAM
- ATI Radeon 5650HD 1GB (Displays 1366 x 768 @ 60Hz)
My problem is that the AMD Catalyst Driver that worked fine for win7 now refuses to install back on the the same laptop. After running the AMD Mobility Radeon Driver Verification Tool, this message pops up:
"ATI Catalyst Mobility connot be downloaded due to Incompatible hardware/software on your computer.
The version of your graphics adaptor is not supported."
What am I doing wrong? Currently when I go into graphics driver information it states that a 'Microsoft Corporation - WDDM v1.20 (Driver Version 220.127.116.11)' is installed for the graphics card, do I need to uninstall that first before I can reinstall Catalyst?
I like playing a few games on my laptop and I have noticed that their performance on windows 8 is not as good as when windows 7 was installed.
Thankyou in advance to anyone whom can help me out here
