I have a following problem: I have two graphic cards (listed below) on my laptop HP Pavilion, and so I tried to update Inter HD Graphics 3000 drivers using offical drivers pack from Intel website ( I selected Intel HD Graphics Driver for Windows 7 x64, downloaded and installed it. There were no problems with Intel graphic card, but just a day later I've noticed that my other card (Radeon HD) seems to be not working: there's a yellow triangle with an exclamation point on it. When I click Properties it says Code 43 in "Device state" field ("This device stopped, because it has alerted of troubles occuring"). And so Catalytist Control Center stopped to work either. I can't find a solution and a reason of why this occured, how is that even possible for drivers dedicated for another graphic card to affect the one I wasn't even updating?

Trying to fix it: I tried to fix this issue via Windows System Recovery, just recover to the time point when those drivers weren't even installed. Launched it, but it seems not working, it just shows recovery screen that lasts more than 3 hours (read it usually takes 5-20 minutes to recover, and I have only those drivers and one application that will be affected after recovery proccess). So it gave no result.

My specifications:

Graphic cards:

Inter HD Graphics 3000

Radeon HD 6470M

Operating system: Windows 7 Home x64

I also read about uninstalling the driver of affected graphic card and then trying to install the version it had before. But I have any idea what version was before, since I never really faced such problem. And it's just strange, because technically the drivers for Radeon HD 6470M were not re-installed or updated at all, so they should work fine, why should I delete them? But even though, the other reason why I don't want to uninstall anything is because of fact that official AMD Driver Detection and Update says that "my graphic card is not supported by AMD, drivers cannot be detected". Therefore, if I uninstall anything I won't be able to install it back.

Please, I really hope for your help.

You shouldn't use drivers from either AMD or Intel. Get both from the laptop manufacturer's site (HP). Those are the drivers designed to work with your rig.

1. Complete uninstall of both Intel and AMD stuff.

2. Install what HP has for your laptop.

3. Done.

Thanks! Tried to do so, but drivers from HP are dated as 2011. Highly doubt anything requiring them will run. Guess, it's just my destiny.
