I have a HP Pavilion Dv6 6b25tx. The Internet shows that I have an AMD Radeon HD 6490M GPU but Device Manager and GPU-Z show that I have an AMD Radeon HD 7400M GPU. I am not able to get any drivers now. I had Windows 7 32 bit and the GPU worked fine on it. I don't remember what model number did it show on Windows 7. I upgraded to Windows 8 and the GPU shows an exclamation mark in Device Manager. HP only provides drivers for the 64 bit version of Windows. Thanks.

If you read the sticky "Updating Mobility drivers" you will find this..

."""If installing an operating system other than the one currently supported by the notebook, the notebook may not meet all requirements. As such supported graphics drivers may not be available.""

This happens when people do not check to see if their laptop supports a **cough** "update" to Windows ate.

....and your reason for installing a 32 bit OS was what?

EDIT: From HP>>>
