I have an HP 6930p Laptop with an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3400 graphics card.
I just did a clean install of Windows 8.1 x64, completely from scratch on an empty hard drive. (Previously had Windows 7 on this computer.)
One of the first things I did after installing Windows was to install the AMD/ATI stuff. I installed the latest "Catalys Software Suite" (2013-01-21, 13.1) which worked fine. Then I installed the latest driver (2013-04-29, 13.4 Beta) which looked like it worked fine, except that it showed "warnings occured during installation" at the end. And apparently, the AMD Display Driver just didn't install at all!
At the end of my post, I'll attach the Log that showed after the attempted installation, though I don't think it's much help.
Is there some trick to make the driver install anyway? Or when will Windows 8.1 compatible drivers be released, now that Windows 8.1 has been publicly released?
Some of my games won't run anymore at the moment, like Hotline Miami (updated version) that requires OpenGL 2.1 to run, which isn't working without the proper display driver.
(And no, downgrading back to Windows 7 or 8 is not an option. This laptop is not even 3 years old, there must be an updated driver released for Windows 8.1!)
