Today I upgraded my Samsung 3 Series operating system from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1, and after the upgrade, my AMD Radeon HD 7670M graphics card became disabled. When I look in the Device Manager window, the card now displays as AMD Radeon Hybrid (Blocked), and the error message reads "This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31) The driver trying to start is not the same as the driver for the POSTed display adapter."

I uninstalled my current version of Catalyst Control Center and attempted to reinstall the latest version, but now when I run Catalyst Install Manager, the driver does not get installed. I also have Intel Graphics 4000 on my machine, and have tried disabling it and even uninstalled the Intel driver at one point, to no avail.

Can I please get a response to this issue. Thanks

Thanks but this doesn't answer my question.

i actually managed to install the beta driver for windows 8.1 by going to device manager and fully removing the old driver and software.

however after installing the "latest" driver 13.11 beta and rebooted my laptop the PC booted into a black screen. Windows interface was not showing. Just the mouse pointer was visible. The only way to fix was to reset my PC back to factory settings. Not cool!

Can amd please do their due diligence and release a full driver for my Radeon 7670m Hd card ASAP or advise when it will be out. The beta version is problematic on 8.1 and should be classified as so!!!! Anyone else had the same problem?

If you laptop has switchable graphics you cannot use generic drivers...which is all AMD offers. You must use the drivers designed for your model and furnished by the manufacturer....or use Leshcat drivers (google it). Please read "Updating Mobilty Drivers"
