So here's the driver my laptop uses.

AMD A6-3420M APU with Radeon HD Graphics 1.50 ghz
Windows 7, 64-Bit Operating System

And I cant update it. On the AMD website I downloaded the auto detect driver and, upon launch, it says "Graphics hardware: A-Series APU" and the best driver it suggests is "Catalyst_mobility_64-bit_util.exe." So I press Download Now. The download finishes and I launch AMD Catalyst Mobility Download, and now I have the new file "13-9_mobility_win7_win8_64_dd_ccc_whql.exe." So I click it, and I get this message:

" [Window Title]

C:\Users\*NAME*\Downloads\13-9_mobility_win7_win8_64_dd_ccc_whql.exe

[Content]

The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher.

[OK] "

Am I doing something wrong?

First read the sticky "updating Mobility Drivers". You really need to stop using the 'auto detect and install' thing and manually download the drivers...the auto-detect thing is for people who don't know what/which/diddly...plus it's problematic at best.

Your laptop processor/graphics

You might have to get your drivers from the laptop manufacturer.
