Never use the 'auto detect'...that's for people who don't know diddly. That said, read THIS POST to the end and try the same procedure to install your graphics driver. You must disable the dual/switching thing in the bios first.

As far as I can tell my bios are updated, I tried to uninstall the ccc with the plans of disabling the dual switching and reinstalling but it does not show up on my uninstall list.

Is there a reason it might not be there or another way i can go about uninstalling.

I am glad your bios seems to be up to date. However that has nothing to do with the article I reffered you to...let me explain...if this update method is to work, then you must go into the bios and change the graphics option from 'dynamic' (or whatever) to 'fixed'. This enables the 'faster' graphics and disables the 'slower' graphics. Then just try to install the drivers (6570) over the older ones. If you do not have this option in the bios then you are out of luck. Use whatever drivers the laptop manufacturer offers.

In bios everything seemed to be enabled already including "turbo mode" which was the only thing that seemed similar to what you were mentioning.

I also tried going through alienware but was told any updates past what they offer (all from around 2009) i need to get directly from the maker.

I also tried deleting the ccc but it is not showing up as a program for me to uninstall. Is there any reason that might be or any other way for me to remove and reinstall it?

There is a MX15 support forum...right here. I think you should search around it, maybe post your question there ...somebody with one of these models could help you.
