I'm completely new to the whole updating drivers thing, so please bare with me.

I recently updated my Radeon HD 7690M XT driver on my HP Envy 17 notebook. This caused me to have screen resolution issues so I reverted it back to 7690M XT. This has caused me even more issues.

The biggest of which is that my switchable graphics no longers works and provides the error: "CCC cannot be started. There are currently no settings that can be configured using AMD CCC"

Any way that I can fix CCC? Updating my drivers to ones that would work would also be fantastic.

Regards.

go to>

Control panel > system > choose Device manager from the side bar > choose display drivers > double click you radeon graphic card > on the Driver tab, choose update option, let it update..

If this works then choose my ans as solution

if it does'nt reply to this and i'll be there soon...

Unfortunately this doesnt work. It was working perfectly fine before on the 7690M XT driver. Now a lot of programmes crash on loading after I've reverted it. I may end up factory resetting the laptop after backing my important files up onto an external :/

yes, restoring factory settings may help, but if you re-install your windows then only your C: drive will get reset...
