Dear sirs,

I am developing a medical application that uses DirectX (2D and 3D) for drawing the information on the screen.

The goal is to run the application on various hardware, provided that GPU is powerful enough to handle the drawing.

The problem I am encountering appears (until now) only on a laptop Dell Latitude E6540 with AMD Radeon HD 8790M and Intel HD Graphics 4600.

At random moments (between 30 seconds and 30 minutes after starting the application) the applications stops. I cannot see any exception in my application, only Event viewer shows the information.

The crash report is as follows:

Faulting application name: Own_app.exe, version: 2.0.2207.0, time stamp: 0x5304e36b
Faulting module name: atidxx32.dll, version:, time stamp: 0x51e66cd2
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x000141ab
Faulting process id: 0xe74
Faulting application start time: 0x01cf3cff880ce292
Faulting application path: C:\Own_app\Own_app.exe
Faulting module path: C:\Windows\system32\atidxx32.dll
Report Id: e5923c96-a8f2-11e3-932a-b4b676fc6d94

My question is: what is possibly causing the crash? We haven't experienced this behaviour on Radeon R7 250A ZL and we haven't experienced such behaviour on NVidia GPUs.

The laptop, where the problem occurs, runs Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit, .NET framework version 4.5.1 (4.5.50938).

What more information can I provide to help with solving the problem?

Thank you in advance.

Best regards,
