I have two laptops with AMD APU+GPU combination, one is A6-5200M(8450G)+8570M, the other is A10-5757M(8650G)+8750M. Operating system is Windows 7 Professional(x64) with latest Catalyst driver(14.4) and latest DirectX runtime installed.

I'm currently learning C++ AMP programming and I want to use the delicated GPU for better GPGPU performance. Unfortunately the C++ AMP runtime only recognizes APU integrated graphics. Then I run GPU-Z 0.78 and find out 'DirectCompute' checkbox on 8570M and 8750M are unchecked(a C++ AMP-enabled device must support DirectCompute).

Question: Do 8500M/8700M series GPUs support DirectCompute? If they do support, how can I enable it?

Solved. I run DirectCompute & OpenCL Benchmark 0.45, only the integrated graphics HD8650G is shown in the adapter list. But when I run the DirectCompute benchmark and monitor the GPU load with GPU-z, I see HD8750M is actually used instead of HD8650G - it's loaded at 99% while HD8650G is loaded at ~0%. The benchmark result shows a very satisfying score at around 8700(consider my new laptop with GTX 850M gets only 3800 on this score).
