Hello.

First of all, im using a notebook, ACER Aspire 5740 DG actually, W7 64bit.

my graphics card is ATI Mobility Radeon 5650 HD.

my driver version is 8.682.1.0 from 2009 ()

Now, i want to install the newest driver for my notebook.

This is the driver i should install: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/mobile?os=Windows%207%20-%2064#amd-catalyst-packages

Now, in my Programs and Features section, there is AMD Catalyst Install Manager. i need to uninstall it and then update with the file in the link ? or i can update without uninstalling nothing ?

Hello mate.

You should definetely first uninstall the old drivers through the catalyst install manager.

If after installing the new ones you have problems, then do a clean install of drivers

The link with the latest supported driver you provided is correct.

Create a restore point before doing anything. When removing the AMD drivers with the install manager in the 'remove a program'...the install manager will say it is going to install something...ignore it. That is a AMD quirk that nobody seems to want to change...it should say 'you are about to uninstall'. Just run the thing and don't worry about it.
