Hello mate.

Do you have Catalyst Control Center installed ?

It has the same overdrive settings as radeonpro.

Overdrive is a tool to overclock your gpu and configure the fan speed.

I would strongly advice to keep away from it, since you are on a laptop.

If you want to change to default settings, use CCC's default settings or radeonpro to apply default global settings.

Either way should return the gpu clocks and automatic fan speed to defaults.

Uninstall RadeonPro and reboot.

Go to CCC -> Preferences -> Restore factory default.

Reboot.

Is it still the same ?

If the problem is fixed, do not use CCC, radeonpro or any other tool to overclock the gpu core and vram. Use radeonpro to add custom game profiles with desired configurations.

If it is not fixed, try clean reinstalling the latest amd catalyst software (use DDU in safe mode) or the one provided with the laptop.

Reboot and see if that fixes it.

Post a screenshot of the image corruption you see if you can.

Try a system restore. Restore back to a time before you screwed up. Then leave it alone.

and what does a catalyst do ?

AMD Catalyst software is an installation package bundle of the display adapter, the hdmi audio driver, the Catalyst Control Center, among others.

It is a complete gpu driver suite designed to provide you with all the necessary and optional software to maximise the performance of your display adapter in games and applications in general.

When running the installer of this software suite, you can choose to express install all or make a custom install of specific drivers/ software.

For more info visit the official AMD site:

http://www.amd.com/en-us/innovations/software-technologies/catalyst

If the system restore that stumped suggested does not help, a clean reinstall of windows may be needed.

That would give you a clear idea if something is wrong with your hardware or software.
