i have dell laptop studio 1558 having ati radeon 545v hd graphics card. but now in hardware details in catalyst control center, it is showing graphics hardware as ati radeon 4500/5100 series.

i want to update my graphics drivers but when i go to download section i get 2 drivers one is for 4xxx series which is of 153mb and other is for 5xxx series which is 259mb. when i use driver autodetect utility it shows hardware as A series-APU and file size is 259mb.

please help me in finding correct driver for my graphics hardware.

thank you.

ATI Mobility Radeon HD 545v

ATI Mobility Radeon HD 545v

The AMD ATI Mobility Radeon HD 545v is a laptop graphics card based on the old Mobility Radeon HD 4500 series. Therefore, the GPU only features 80 shader cores (5-dimensional), DirectX 10.1 support and ist still manufactured in 55nm. The clock rates are identical to the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5145, which was also presented in 2010. Therefore, both cards are based on the Mobility Radeon HD 4570 (same DeviceId of 9553) with a slightly higher core clock.

It is probably right when it identifies the card as 4500/5100 series. I would leave it alone. No update is going to affect that card's performance.

In my opinion, stay with what you have.
