Hi community,

sorry for my bad english, but I'm not very skilled in writing.

I'm here to report my issue. I have an AMD Radeon HD 6630M on my Vaio, but i cannot use it. Every game I play with uses only the Intel chipset. I figured it out just by seeing the quality graphic of my games, but I think my GPU really do not work (even if Windows can't find any problem with it).

I tried to update my drivers, but I failed. The downloadable tool in the website doesn't work... Says something about some missing package. Than I noticed that the tool does not support Sony Vaio. I downloaded my drivers from the Sony website. Error again. Installation cannot be completed (i don't know why).

At last I installed some old driver I kept in my HDD (backup ftw). It seems that my GPU never turn on actually, and I can't modify any setting because CCC keep freezing and crashing every time i try to go to the "Switchable Graphic" section.

Any advice? Having a GPU and being unable to use kinda freak me out!

You can not use generic drivers from AMD. Sony has their own custom drivers...get your drivers from Sony support.
