I have a Dell in spiron 15R 3537 laptop with windows 8 preinstalled. I upgraded it to windows 8.1. I downloaded the required video card driver and installed it. But as soon as i installed it my computer's startup became slow and every time i put it to sleep mode i have to hard restart it to turn it back on. I reinstalled windows using recovery DVD and updated it again. This time bsod error started to pop up. I tried everything i could find on internet but all in vain.

Please help guys.

Try using Dells verson of the drivers.  Select Windows 8.1 in the drop down list, then scroll down to the appropriate video driver.
