Hi All,

I’m new here, but I hope someone can help me with this problem.

I have a PC with Radeon 3000 graphics that I have been using for over a year connected via HDMI to my monitor.  I have decided to turn it into a HTPC, and connect it to my LG TV, but no matter what I do I can’t get it to recognise that I have connected my TV to it using a HDMI cable.

Things I have done to check it.

1)      I can connect my laptop to the TV using the same HDMI cable and it works.

2)      I can also connect the PC to my Samsung TV via HDMI and that works.

3)      I have downloaded the most up to date drivers.

4)      I have also connected an old VGA monitor to the PC and that works, but there is absolutely no sign that it even recognises being connected to the TV.

As you can imagine this is very frustrating.  I could really use some help.

Have you tried force detect in Catalyst Control Center ?

Likely some setting in CCC that you need to find in order to make it send out via HDMI.
