ATI Radeon HD 3600 series on a windows 7 (32 bit) system. Cannot install driver software, keep getting error messages:

AMD Display DriverFinal Status: Fail
Version of Item: 8.970.100.3000
Size: 90 Mbytes

HDMI/DP Audio DriverFinal Status: Fail
Version of Item: 7.12.0.7706
Size: 1 Mbytes

I have tried unistalling, going into safe mode, just cannot seem to be able to install. On trying to launch CCC I get the message "Catalyst Control Centre cannot be started, There are currently no settings that can be configured using Catalyst Control Centre".

Any help to fix the problem will be greatly appreciated.

Go to safe-mode, use driver-sweeper, driver fusion or whatever is the most popular driver removing toy nowdays and get rid of anything catalyst related. Then try to install again. Those errors are the symptom of a trashed installation, missing files, updates over updates.. cleanup may help.
