Yesterday I installed Windows 8 Pro x64, prior to that I had Windows 7 Ultimate x64.

I have a [Sapphire] Radeon HD 4870 X2, which is now under legacy support and has been for a few months. While I was stiill on Win7, the Catalyst 12.6 drivers worked fine. 

Well, I tried to install them on Win8, now they did install, however, they did not work at all, the card was still using Windows own drivers to run.

Now, are there any plans to give those of us -- who cannot afford to get a new card -- that are on legacy cards to bake into the next version of Catalyst to have Windows 8 support?

I went back and installed the 11.10 drivers (Catalyst & Xcode (AVIVO)) and they are working, even the CCC is working, which it refused to do with 12.6 under Win8.
