Good evening folks,
Here is a brief summary of my problems to date:
PC unexpectedly crashing, loud GFX Card fan.
Card and PC cleaned with compressed air - card re-seated and now boots to Windows 7 64 Bit AOK. Prior to the clean it wasn't getting passed POST i.e. I was getting one long beep followed by three short which according to my Mobo manual means 'No VGA Detected'.
When attempting to launch XCOM, CCC shows increase to from 507MHZ to 750 GPU Clock Setting and 500MHz to 900MHz Memory Clock Settings. PC then crashes i.e. 'No VGA Detected'.
Any ideas? this is driving me nuts. I don't think it's temperature related as GPU Meter tells me it's about 66 degrees C in idle, CCC tells me it's 80 degrees C. Fan speed 27%.
I've not tried Testing the Custom Clock yet nor have I tried altering fan speed or the GPU/Mem clock settings as I'm a bit clueless with all this.
Any recommendations? Note up till about a week ago it was running games no problem at all... I'm stumped.
Thanks in advance.
Kind regards,
NC.
