See Computer #2 in my sig?

It's now running win8pro x86 using..

Catalyst 10.2 for vista in compatibility mode.

Audigy2 drivers from Creative.

MOBO and all else installed flawlessly.

I can even play L4D, CSS, CS1.6, Serious Sam 1.  That's all I've tried as it's not meant to be a gaming machine anymore.

I post this as there's only a few days left at the 40.00 price mark for digital download. Windows Media Centre is still free until end of month too.

The non-HD Radeon drivers for Vista and later are complete garbage, especially the OpenGL part. You'd get a very nice fps boost by downgrading to XP. Though I know it's also quite enjoyable installing new OS's onto ancient machines and vice versa. I too do it often.
