A year ago I have assembled my new PC. The Graphic Card is the ATI Radeon HD 4200.

Since first installing the Catalyst Control Center appeared the well-known problem (well, it Seems that ATI / AMD you know):

"Catalyst Control Centre: Host application has stopped working"

At that time there was no reference to this problem. I waited patiently for new updates and today I've installed the version 08.00.0877 and:

1. - The problem persists.

2. - The new version has worsened even more, now the bottom half of my desktop icons have disappeared and I can not run the "properties" of my screen.

Please can any responsible for AMD / ATI can tell me what's going on?

I too am having the same (or very similar) issue.

Everytime I start up my computer, I get that error twice. I have no idea why, and I've had this problem for a long time. I haven't been able to figure it out yet. I did try to roll back my driver in the past, but that didn't seem to work.

Any help would be appreciated.
