I know they are a "legacy" thing though not sure what it means. I am pretty litterate with computers but dont want to mess anything up. Here are the steps I have taken to update this. Current version is from 7/13/2009.

Device Manager > search for update (none available)

Installed latest Catalyst Control Center (takes me to site to tell me to download the CCC again)

Start --> Control Panel --> Device Manager --> Display Adapters --> Radeon X1900 series (or whatever is listed there) --> Driver --> Update Driver --> Browse --> C:\AMD (include subfolders) --> pick X1900 series

^^(didnt work)^^

So if you can walk me through getting 10.2 update to this graphics card manually step by step on Windows 7 I would appreciate it.  I need this fixed asap.

You "need" this "fixed" or you "want" this "fixed"? In other words, what issue are you having which is stated in the release notes as fixed that you need to update drivers for a 7 year old card?

See computer #2 in my sig? It's using 10.2 (8.593...) on win8. This is the 10.2 legacy for vista 32/64.

IIRC, I installed the driver through device manager and CCC installed normally. May have used a compatibility mode, sorry just don't remember.
