I bought one of the newer ATI cards and find that it hurts my eyes.  The last card I have used with no problems is the X1950 Pro.  I am using XP on both cards.  I use a CRT set to 75 Mhz.  It seems the newer cards have more selections for colour enhancement that the older cards.  Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening?  What is the difference between the newer and older cards?  Have a fix?  Or tell me how to try using older drivers on the newer cards?

The only difference may be the color management is set to a higher gamma, brightness, or contrast. But the real solution would be to, eventually, upgrade to a LCD monitor. Personally I can't use a CRT monitor for an extended period of time (even an hour) without having eye pains, and at the extreme end I get a massive migraine, because unfortunately I am sensitive to the flicker. You may also be developing a sensitivity.
