I have a Dell U3014 monitor on a Dell Optiplex 960 mini-tower Win7 Enterprise 64-bit with standard power supply.

I need an AMD graphics card with Display Port output to drive the monitor at 2560 x 1600.

I do not play games, so the card can be pretty vanilla but cannot require more power than the power supply can produce (300W I think).

A legacy card will probably do the trick but which one?

Would appreciate help in choosing an appropriate card for this application.

Thank you.

Get a budget card. Something like a 74xx or 84xx (when it's available). If you don't play games, anything will do, even the cheapest one.
