Issue Details
- I cannot start control center, I receive the error “Catalyst Control Centre: Host application has encountered a problem and needs to close. Sorry for the inconvenience”

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling.

CPU Details
- Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.06GHz

You could also try installing dotnet framework 4.0 if you already haven't and perform a CLEAN install of CCC by using Driver Fusion / Driver Sweeper in safe mode to get rid of all junk data, registry entries etc. I've encountered this error before when I was too lazy to uninstall first before updating CCC. A clean install fixed it.

thanks for the reply, I'll give it a try. Now just to sort out why my computer is crashing on safemode... If it's not one thing it's another.
