Hi!

When I attempt to install the Windows 8.1 drivers for  HD3450 I receive an error message: Application Install: install package failure!

Is there a known way to install these drivers on Windows 8.1?

It looks like legacy cards (hd 1000, 2000, 3000 and 4000 series) are not supported under 8.1.

You can use the 13.1 driver, which works fine on Windows 8.1 without any modifications.

Hi there,

I am using a HD3450 on Windows 8.1. I've tried uninstalled and reinstalled this several times and tried different OS drivers but still didn't work.

http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop/legacy?product=legacy2&os=Windows%208%20-%2032

Only the display driver fails. Catalyst control center etc. installs. According to Device Manager I am using ATI Radeon HD 3450 (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM v1.1), version 8.97.10.6 (20/06/2012) which is what Windows installed by default.

However, I am apparently on OpenGL 1.1 and no games or anything will run.

You're supposed to use Windows 7 with that card.

Well, I followed this: http://www.jongibbins.com/windows-8-1-and-legacy-atiamd-graphics-drivers/ and got it working perfectly.

As long as it works haha
