Hello,

I joined this in hopes that someone can help me whit the driver for a sapphire ati radeon x1650 pro agp card. The OS is Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-bit. Windows installs the WDDM driver but it doesn't function properly accepting only 4:3 aspect ratio resolution(I need a 16:9). At the device manager  the card is presented as a x1650 Series but shows an exclamation and at device status: "windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (code 43)".
According to the AMD site, I should install the Catalyst 10.2, but when I install it after the restart I get: "no ati graphics driver is installed or the ati driver is not functioning properly".

My Hardware ID is: PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_71C1&SUBSYS_0850174B&REV_9E
PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_71C1&SUBSYS_0850174B
PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_71C1&CC_030000
PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_71C1&CC_0300

Motherboard: ASRock ALiveDual-eSATA2
Motherboard BIOS Version:1.90

Can anyone help me please?

Thank you all,
I Dobre

Try downloading from FileHippo and installing it again. if that fails, try to install them manually via device manager. If that fails, then spend $20 on a HD 5450.

ASRock says there is a PCIe x16 slot on that board.

My 1950pro AGP had to be installed manually from device manager to work on win8 so that my be your best bet.

And also as BZ suggests you will probably save some gray hair by just getting a cheapo PCIe card.

OTOH, it's possible there is a switch on the mobo or in BIOS to determine which graphics adapter is to be used i.e. AGP vs PCIe. If the previous graphics was PCIe then that's worth looking at.

Thank you all for the advices. I wasn't able to install the driver so I am getting a cheap PCIe card.

Thanks,
