Running XP pro 32 bit SP3

HD 3650 AGP card

ati2mtag keeps on crashing. I have uninstalled the lot and re-installed it all again from scratch, installed the latest drivers ccc etc which is legacy 12.6 according to the AMD website and ati2mtag still keeps crashing with the message that 'EDID contain an eror in the RangeLimit Field'

What if the EDID of your monitor indeed contains an eror in the RangeLimit Field?

You could replace the monitor, or try to turn off EDID usage in CCC or a more drastical  approach: cut the wires that transfer EDID data in the D-SUB cable. You may get a working non-PnP monitor as a result.
