There it a high pitched Sound originating from the APU. The sound is intermittent with varying levels and frequency.

This occurs all the time, during idle and gaming/photoshop use.

Samsung 840 EVO 250GB SSD

Western Digital 1TB HDD

 

I've put this board through several tests myself. Trying different RAM, Hard Drives, Operating Systems (Win XP - 7 and various flavours of Linux) Different  videocards and without videocards. I'm at a complete loss.

Sounds like it's coil whine coming from the VRMs on the motherboard. It's normal.

I did, the powersupply has been in mutiple machines. The source of the noise is coming from the CPU area...
