Hello Catalyst Driver Developers,

I'm not very good at English but I hope you could understand.

I writing you about two issue.

My GPU: Radeon HD 3200 (shared memory 256 mb from BIOS).

First Issue: With ALT+TAB returning to desktop very very slow when Valve's Portal (2007) videogame running. Not lateness old Catalyst (Example 10.10).

Second Issue: Catalyst drivers support DXVA. Thank you very much improving and AVC-Level support on last updates.

But there is a issue. If some AVC-encoded videos playing in DXVA-mode, Windows is freezeing. After suddenly the monitor light converting orange than green. In a word, the monitor turn off. But actually Windows is working! Can I understand? Very simple: On keyboard, press to Start key and Up arrow and Shutdown or ALT F4 ALT F4 -> Shutdown. Thus can be shutdown Windows, even if the broken display signal to monitor.

I thaink, this issue happening when DXVA-mode playing AVC the videos of data loss or wrongly encoded. Also it's happening sometime on Youtube. Why "sometime"? I very tried what caused it. Not Flash Player (yeah I tried old-new versions). I think, related instant data loss on internet connection.

Just now, my monitor again turn off when a video playing (DXVA-actived). And thus I finally found (this issue with related) the video sample sending for you: http://ge.tt/api/1/files/1DZ8TEJ1/0/blob?download

Please, examine to the video in DXVA-actived. Example: MPC-BE is video player supported DXVA: http://sourceforge.net/projects/mpcbe/

I wish, BSOD appeared, I could giving which adress codes which driver-file. Unfortunaley, this issue don't BSOD. Only turn off the monitor.

Yes, I tried Catalyst 13.4 beta. It's same.

I hope, can detecting wrong codes in Catalyst 13.x your special debuggers.

I hope, can fixes its.

Kindly request: Please, don't give up your supports-updates for XP and Radeon 2000-4000 users.

I'm sorry, my bad English.

Sincerely.

Windows XP reaches the final end of life in 2 months, you seriously need to consider an entire system update to hardware from this decade.
