I've been happily using my video card

HIS Radeon HD 4670 AGP

with XP Pro for years.  Thanks to XP's death I've upgraded to Win7Pro32-bit.

Why would ControlPanel|Display|ScreenResolution not offer me the native 1680x1050 resolution of my LCD (Samsung SyncMaster 206BW) Monitor?  (It offers nothing above 1400x1050.)

The Catalyst driver I'm using is

http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop/legacy?product=legacy2&os=Windows%207%20-%2032

It installs successfully, but the Display Adapter shows as "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter".  (I'm connected via DVI to the 4670.)  I don't know how to fix this, any clues, please?

Computer is a Dell Dimension 8300.

I solved this by pulling a really old version off the card manufacturer's (long neglected) website:

10-7_agp-hotfix_vista_32_dd_ccc

I guess what I need is to find current "HOTFIX" drivers for this card.  I've just posted in this newer thread asking where to find them.
