Following a recommendation I tried to update my Radeon 2100 display adapter, In the process the ATI Catalyst Control Centre was installed as well, and now on boot up I get the following error message :

"The Catalyst Control Centre is not supported by the driver version of your enabled graphics adapter. Please update your ATI graphics driver, or enable your ATI adapter using the Displays manager."

I subsequently uninstalled the install manager in error, so I'm struggling to get this problem rectified. I don't know how or which install manager I should reinstall, (if I can)

I'm not even sure I need the CCC as I don't really do gaming,  but either way I would like the problem corrected. Unfortunately I can't find out how to uninstall the CCC without a catalyst install manager. Or how to otherwise resolve this.

Some advice would be greatly appreciated

Tried to restore, but due to a problem  which I think is likely also as a result of the Driver update, the system won't restore properly.

I have to say, should anyone from AMD be reading this, that I imagined AMD support would be better than this.

I appreciate that I made an error in uninstalling the catalyst Install manager, and that had I not erroneously done that, then this problem might be easier to solve.

However, this problem is also as a result of something being downloaded onto my PC, that I don't beleieve I need, that I didn't ask for and don't want. The CCC has been piggybacked on to my PC with what I thought would be a good driver update.

So please AMD provide me with a solution.

This is not AMD support, this is a user-to-user forum as you would know if you had read the terms and conditions when you signed up. Clicking next-next-next-next is only usefult for making a fool out of yourself...

About your issue, try DDU. If it doesn't help, reinstall the OS.
