Hi all,

First thing: sorry for my bad english... I'm italian

I have this problem:

I just updated my old notebook (HP 1330SL) to Win 8.1, all is working well except the Catalyst Control Center..

I downloaded the suite from AMD website, installed it and now when I try to launch the CCC I'm getting this error:

Translated to english:

It is impossible to start CCC. There aren't any settings that can be configured with CCC.

What can I do?? The actual driver version (maybe that windows downloaded automatically) is 8.97.10.6

Thx to all

The 4xxx series of cards do not meet the minimum requirement for Windows 8.1. The 5xxx series and above do. Revert to Windows 7 is your best bet. Laptop owners should always check with the laptop manufacturer (not Micro$oft) to see if their laptop meets the requirements to 'upgrade'.

Do not think that using this Mickey mouse work-around has solved the issue that 8.1 is not compatable with pre-HD5xxx series cards. There is no reason why a old laptop (which cannot easily change graphics chips) would want to install a OS which is not fully supported, when a Windows 7 OS is fully compliant. Desktop users that follow this are just plain stupid. A 5xxx series card cost less than $30...and is fully supported.
