Hard to believe in this day and age of the internet and places such as Amazon.com that HSN is still around...

Interesting preorder prices...Means one of two things. One is that Microsoft finally realized that end users make up about 5% of Windows profits (bulk OEM sales and business licenses make up the most) and that they don't need to charge the home user an arm and a leg. Or two, most likely, that all the negative press surrounding Windows 8 as well as the crappy economy and the fact that Windows 8 doesn't bring anything new worth a huge price premium means that in order to actually shift copies they can't charge an arm and a leg.

You know how some car manufacturers to come up with a new model will just basically unbolt one version number and bolt on a new one, such as changing "Mazda MX-7" to "Mazda MX-8" while leaving basically everything the same? Same thing happens here, same kernel, slight tweak.
