Hello, this forum looks like the Games forum, but it was the only support link from the AMD site, so I am not sure if this is the correct place to start.

I have an AMD Radeon HD 7450 card running Win 7 64-bit Home.  the driver is listed as 7.12.0.7708, but when using Catalyst this seems to be different than what is reported in Cataylst.

The card seems to mainly working but when trying to configure dual displays it is not setting up.  I am trying to us a DVI-D DL 2-to-1 splitter and both cables to the monitors are DVI-D DL.  When only one monitor is connected to the card(no splitter) Catalyst will identify the correct model of monitor.  But when adding the splitter and trying to get both displays working I get a variety of problems, but mainly it will not identify both monitors at the same time.

Can someone add some clarity to my problem or point me in the right direction if this is not the correct forum?

When using dual displays both monitors hook to the video card's dual outputs, when using a splitter the video card is only seeing one monitor.

The card only has one output connector.  Specs say "supports dual displays".  I have a PC at work that has dual displays on a splitter.  Not sure if this what you mean.

 

When you have A splitter it allows you to have two displays that display the same thing. I looked up the video card and it should have A DVI & display port output (smaller slot port). I looked on Newegg.com and found A gender bender (adapter), for $13.95 plus shipping, that will allow you to adapt the display port output to VGA if one of you monitors has A VGA input.
