Good day,

Okay so i saw the HD 8xxx series spec and it seems it doesn't have anything different from the HD 7xxx series, is it true or there's something more ?, because if it's the same then i'm thinking to upgrade my GPU to HD 7970.

Last question is, if i upgrade my GPU will it be bottlenecked by my CPU ?

Thanks.

You haven't seen the specs for the HD 8000 series because they haven't been released yet except for the lower end cards. AMD released the specs for the OEM HD 8000 series which are just rebranded HD 7000 series, but the HD 8800 and HD 8900, and possibly 8700 series will be GCN v2. As to if you will be bottlenecked, it will depend on the clock speed and the game you play.
