7 and 10 inch tablets I understand.  About these monster size tablets that are starting to pop up, I'm confused.

An 18 inch tablet that weighs 5 pounds?  Clearly they don't expect people to carry one of these things around with them... right?  I don't get it.

There are some occupations that this would be good for, but those people already use laptops with large screens. For college students it is to big, many professionals are moving away from touch based laptops to phones like the Galaxy Note, and for people who use a tablet to surf the net at their local WiFi hotspot something like the Kindle Fire is a better option. If I had to guess this thing will carry a 4 digit price tag, and with the inferior graphics capabilities of a tablet compared to a laptop, I suspect this thing will go the way of Betamax and ZIP Disks.

Seems...actually...really stupid. If you look at the comments under the article...it takes awhile to find any serious ones. Most people are just making fun of this thing.

 

I don't understand it either. It's definitely more of a desktop than a laptop. Just because it's a "tablet" doesn't make it portable. And if it's a desktop, you aren't going to be carting it around.

It strikes me as being more of a novelty item like those awful HP all in one computers. A desktop where everything is included in the monitor. And awful to work on when something breaks.
